We have now purchased the Platt Centre and are renaming it “The Platt Mission”. We are grateful to all those who fundraised to enable this to become a reality. We are now in Stage 4 of the Reablement Centre and plan to work hard over the next year to raise the funds to build our floors above the Centre for older people on discharge from hospital.
The Platt Mission will be a place of excellence for the care of the elderly and whatever the future holds, we will combine outreach, activities, day reablement and intermediate care for older people coming out of hospital. If you would like to support us, please email or go to our JustGiving page.

Wednesday, July 1st, 2020Delivering Supply Bags
Since March we have delivered 3,206 Supply Bags to people who are in lock down and to those recently who are 
unable to go out due to their disability or vulnerability. We have been grateful to all those who have contributed items and it has been amazing to see the response by those we deliver to.
We aim to continue delivering Supply Bags for as long as is necessary. We travel across the borough of Wandsworth to every post code and if you know of anyone who is in need of support, please do contact us and we will do our best to deliver a Supply Bag within 24 hours. We currently have 377 people that we have provided a service to and as people begin to do their own shopping, the number will reduce

We have now delivered 4,235 Lunches across Wandsworth, ready to be microwaved. We were very grateful to the London Community Response Fund for being able to subsidise
our lunches and we now provide these 4 days a week and the cost is £6 for a lunch, dessert and a drink. They are delivered by volunteers and our staff and will arrive in time for lunch. They are cooked freshly on the day and we change our Menu every month. Please see the August Menu and let us know if you want to try it out.

Wednesday, July 1st, 2020Mary’s 100th Birthday Party
We celebrated 100 years of Mary’s life in the presence of the Mayor of Wandsworth, Cllr Jeremy Ambache and a great time was enjoyed by all who attended. The decor was in the theme of poppies as for over 40 years Mary was seen at Putney Station raising funds and selling poppies. Three cakes spelt out 100 and Songs on Wheels entertained brilliantly.
Mary received a card from the King and Queen as well as birthday wishes from the Pope. It was an amazing day and everyone really enjoyed the celebrations.
