The Challenge of the Coronavirus Crisis
Regenerate-RISE is very grateful to the 201 volunteers that have offered their services over the last 10 weeks and we want to say a big “thank you” to all those who have been available to deliver Supply Bags, Lunches and Expressions of Kindness as well as contact by telephone, do shopping, collect prescriptions and generally care about the welfare of older people across the borough. It has been a pleasure and a privilege for our staff to work alongside so many people willing to give up their time to serve the community. We are also grateful to Waitrose, to Sainsburys, to AFC Wimbledon, to Hillsong, to Wandsworth Council and to all the individuals who have provided food donations or monetary gifts to enable us to provide the services.
Following some very uncertain times with the renting of the Platt Christian Centre in Putney, the Trustees have put in an offer to purchase the building in order that the services that we provide for older people will continue for years to come. The world is a different place now to what it was 6 months ago and the Coronavirus has forced everyone to go into isolation and whilst supporting so many at home – we are now looking at what our service will look like when they can return to our Centres. We are still planning to build our 10 bed Reablement Unit, although the purchase of the Platt Centre was not in the plan, but we are moving forward with the same enthusiasm and will look forward with hope and a determination to see it come to fruition.
If you would like to support Regenerate-RISE to continue work from the Platt Christian Centre in Felsham Road, please email us and if you would like to do a fundraising event to raise funds for us to continue our work from the Platt Centre, please let us know – we would love to hear from you.

By making the editor narrower and closer to the published page, hopefully this will allow the whole thing to run better. Here’s the example of a basic transition from the introduction to this article. The boxes below initially have an orange background, with the color set to change to green on :hover. For the first box no transition is specified, so the change occurs instantaneously.
For the second box a transition with a duration of 5 seconds is specified, as such the change occurs smoothly over the given duration and automatically reverses when the mouse is moved off the element.
Now this is a separate paragraph but the image from above appears to be hanging over – this is just an illusion and a quirk of how a WYSIWYG editor will typically operate. So, let’s see how that works before trying to upload an audio file.
Put in a link to an No longer forsaken .

As a registered charity, Regenerate-RISE is dependent on donations to enable us to provide support to all of our clients in a variety of different ways. We have been extremely grateful over the years to the individuals, to the trusts and companies that have donated to make this world a better place for older people.
We aim to be a Centre of Excellence and provide a service that provides care and support to people living with Dementia. We are looking forward to initiating new ways to provide support in the future. We are missing all our clients who regularly attend our Centres and look forward to the day when they can socialise safely again.
Regenerate-RISE is grateful to individuals, trusts and companies that donate towards the work of RISE in the various projects across the UK. Your donation will make a real difference to the lives of older people.

RISE Woking
RISE Woking is a new project following the bankruptcy of Woking Council and Regenerate-RISE is taking on St Mary’s Community Centre in Byfleet to provide day services for the elderly. We will be reliant on the income from hirers of the rooms as well as the cafe that we will be initiating for the community in March, but we will have total responsibility for the building. We have a refurbishing plan and if you would like to contribute towards the expenses of refurbishing or the on-going costs, we would love to hear from you. You can donate through the Just Giving logo above or contact us for further information.

RISE Ealing has come to the end of its lottery funding and sadly is no longer open. We had a great five years of serving the local community and are grateful to all the staff and volunteers for their commitment during that time. Funding is really difficult to obtain to keep projects going – we always have to be thinking ahead of new ways to care for the elderly and maybe we will return to the borough of Ealing one day. Overall we provided a service for 350 different people and were grateful for the opportunity.
